Boti Waterfalls.(19th October,2020).

About
Boti Falls is a twin waterfall located at Boti in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Boti falls takes its course from a river known locally as Ponmpon. History has it that the fall was hidden in the forest until it was discovered by a white Catholic priest. Boti is a seasonal fall and also is a double side-by-side fall during the high flow and at the bottom of 250 concrete steps. During full flow, you are surrounded in a canyon of falling water. It can be found in the forest of Huhunya. The larger one is mythically believed to be the male and the smaller one the female.
Boti Waterfalls is a twin fall. It flows at two sides from the same rock. Due to this flow, the falls have been identified as the twin falls whereby one is the female fall and the other the male fall. It is also believed that, where the waterfalls meet at the base, it forms a rainbow whenever the rainbow appears, it signifies mating since the waterfalls are female and male.
The falls is also in two parts. That is the upper fall and the lower fall. The lower fall as seen in diagram three of the pictures above is where the travellers have fun.
You can bring along dresses or swimming costumes with you because at the lower falls you can swim and take pictures as well to show that you visited the tourist site. ( Take note; if you don't want to stress yourself of carrying clothes along, I have come to tell you that you can get some right at the tourist site, all you need to do is to inform the tour guides and note that it comes along with a fee of not more than 50 Ghana cedis.)
You can also involve yourself in the drumming and singing activities that take place at the lower falls of the waterfalls.
There are other tourist attractions within the same vicinity, where boti falls is located. These are the Umbrella Rock and the Three-headed palm tree.
