Pekis Political Administrative structure as at 1833

*Kwadzo Dei I* assumed the reigns of power in 1833 and immediately together with other Krepi States rose up against the Akwamus (wilks1975 : 211)

Kwadzo Dei I organized them according to military political format learnt and adopted from the Akwamus.

Kwadzo Dei organised an Adonten with a left wing Benkum and a right wing Nifa. He controlled Peki itself directly. Krepi States to the left he controlled through the Benkumhene Chief of Awudome. Through the Nifahene , Chief of Boso , Kwadzo Dei controlled the right wing.

The states to the right and left wings paid tribute to Kwadzo Dei through their divisional heads ,Boso and Awudome.

The military alliance of states Kwadzo Dei I effected culminated in Krepi States taking a format like a regional confederation with Kwadzo Dei I as a supreme leader and Blengo it's capital. Most cases in Krepi were adjudicated at Blengo

Akwamu accessing its loses refused to acknowledge Pekis leadership . This gave rise to hostilities such as kidnapping of traders hold ups through out Krepi.

In 1845 , Akwamu made a bold attempt to bring Krepi back under its rule. It fell through as Peki now as king of Krepi had become a formidable entity.
